Paddle Boarding and other stuff...

This past Saturday Brock and I rented stand up paddle boards.  We have wanted to try them for awhile.  So we loaded them up in Dad's truck (that cost us two trips to the green dump to help unload pine tree branches) and off to Pineview we went!

It is easier than it looks and lots of fun!  I think even Mom could do it!

Other stuff:

I made Brock this awesome Batman cake for his birthday!

Earlier this spring Brock tried to convince his parents to build a fire pit in their back yard.  He even came up with this cool design he made himself!  We are still waiting for them to decide if they will ever build it though.

And we still go for rides on the motorcycle!
***Disclaimer for Mom, this picture was taken at a stop in a driveway.  Don't worry!***

What have we been up to??

Here is a quick update on me and Brock!

Brock started a new Job in December at Edge Performance Products!  He works on the assembly line in production either packing chips (performance chips for trucks) or programing them.

I am still working at the law firm but looking for something new in the health field.

Brock recently took a photography class and loves to take pictures, just not of people.

We are looking forward to it getting warmer so we can go on more rides on the bike!  Brock finally has health insurance again so I feel better when he rides.  (And yes mom we always wear our helmets.)

My graduation is finally official!

Brock decided to make beef gyros the other night.  They were pretty good.

We are both getting back into the exercise habit so we can run the 5K on Memorial Day with Laura and Carly.

Next up for us:  The big move at the end of April!  I'm super excited to move to our new place!

Las Vegas!

I am finally getting around to posting about our trip to Las Vegas last fall.

Brock and I decided to go on a little trip down to Vegas because we didn't really have a real honeymoon.

On our way there we ran into a little rain.

We stayed in a beautiful room at the Venetian.

Our view

The rest of the Hotel was beautiful!

They have an indoor and outdoor Gondola ride.  We took the indoor one because the outdoor one was closed.  Its a lot of fun!  They serenade you in Italian.  Luckily we got a singer with a beautiful voice.

We at the restaurant in the background called the Poistro.  It was really yummy!
Its all indoors but made to look like outside.

Indoor waterfall

This is the hotel lobby/entryway.

We saw two shows:  The Ratpack is Back and Cirque de Soleil Love: The Beatles.
The Ratpack was good but the Cirque de Soleil show was INCREDIBLE!! It was so amazing and we loved it so much that I got Brock a DVD on the making of it for Christmas.  I was not a big fan of Beatles music but I kind of now after seeing that show.

We also visited the Mirage Secret Garden and Dolphin Habitat.
We saw some super cute dolphins, white tigers and other animals.

The rest of the trip included eating, relaxing by the pool, shopping and of course a visit to the Bellagio fountains.

A year in review...

2012

It has been a whirlwind year for me and Brock.  Here are a few of the highlights:
Warning: Picture overload!

I got engaged to the love of my life!

I said goodbye to my little brother and best friend for 2 years.

Went shopping for a white dress and planned a wedding (while still in school).

Took lots of pretty pictures!

Went through the temple with my family and soon to be new family.

Got sealed for time and all eternity in the beautiful Draper Temple!

Had an awesome reception with lots of family and friends!

I moved out of my "cave" in my parents basement and into our first apartment.

Went on a quick honeymoon to the Anniversary Inn in Logan.

Did a six week internship with Ragnar Relay Series for my major.

Came home to find Evander the Unicorn up to something different almost everyday.

This was my favorite.  Poker night with Bunny, Tickle Me Elmo and Little Foot.

A "second" Honeymoon to Las Vegas where we stayed at the Venetian.
(A post about that to come soon, even though its been 3 months).

Our first Halloween as a married couple.

I graduated from Weber State with my bachelors degree.

Christmas Eve with the Van Bibbers was spent eating (Brock made shrimp wrapped in prosciutto) and playing guitar hero.

Pictures of our first Christmas together to come soon.

2012 was an amazing year.  Hopefully 2013 will be good to us too.
